Phonogram is in both the UK and American catagories for best B&W; comic, well deserved.
Very happy to see David Baillie's Tongue of the Dead, the Etherington Brother's Malcom Magic and the brilliant The O Men all making an appearence as well.
This really is an exciting time to be involved in the UK comic scene, so much great stuff out there at the moment. Maybe eventually we'll get to see our very own Tales From The Flat in there too We've done pretty well over the past year or so, five issues out along with a great little anthology.
Hope everyone gives bugpowder.com the recognition it deserves as well!

(172.141.12.234) | The most interesting innovation this year for me is the expansion of the actual final voting from three nominations to five - when there was just three, you could maybe predict which three would appear with disturbing regularity, but with five it really allows some of the, maybe lesser-supported works (i.e. those without a 2000adonline activist fanbase behind them) to appear (and after all, having Eagle Award Nominated is almost as good as winning one) ... and maybe even a group of focused voters whose books did not make the final five might mobilise behind one of these and give the big boys a run for their money.
